The Yellow Catuai is the second offering from Don Eli we have this season. After visiting the farm and taking a look around in March, we were very excited to be able to share these beautiful coffees. This lot is found at 1800 - 1900 meters above sea level in the Tarrazú region, which is where half of the coffee currently produced in Costa Rica is grown.
In the cup, we are finding lots of stone fruit notes that are a bit on the dry side, but is still quite sweet! The fruit is complemented nicely by a tangy, salted caramel note that changes and becomes a little more mellow as the coffee sits after roasting.
